Following a series of very successful meetings “Biomathematics Afternoon in Ljubljana” – the last one took place on February 17, 2016 (https://conferences.matheo.si/event/23/) – we now organise a one-day meeting in Koper to present and exchange the uses of various mathematical notions (such as topology) in the bio-sciences. Majority of participants will be members of the traditional 34th Winterseminar in Bled (https://www.tbi.univie.ac.at/bled/) blended with the local mathematical and scientific community. It is the first time that the meeting will take place in Koper on February 13, 2019. Participants of this meeting with contributions of mathematical nature are invited to submit their papers to the special issue of the newly established journal ADAM (The Art of Discrete and Applied Mathematics, https://adam-journal.eu/index.php/ADAM) that will be guest-edited by Peter F. Stadler and Tomaž Pisanski.
