Planica is a long glacial valley in the northern part of the Slovenian Julian Alps, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planica. For decades, the valley below the Ponce mountain chain has been inviting ski flying heroes, who are crossing record distances and reaching new milestones in the winter jumping sport over and over again. In Planica, it was for the first time in history that a person flew over 100 and 200 metres. In total, this valley witnessed more than 40 world records on two jumping hills, which is more than in any other place in the world. jumping hills, which is more than in any other place in the world.
We will provide two options to get there: either by a bus, or with a bicycle. The cycling trip from Kranjska gora to Planica is of moderate dificulty, about 7 km long and around 150m of elevation gain, see here or here.
At Planica nordic center, there will again be two options.
Option 1: Hike from Planica nordic center to Tamar mountain cottage.

This is an 1 hour long easy hike, with around 200m of elevation gain. We will provide a small snack at the cottage. For more information see here and here.
Option 2: For those more courageous, we will organize a Planica zip line experience, see https://www.planica-zipline.si. You don’t need any special knowledge for a zipline descent. Zipline Planica is appropriate for anyone over the age of 10, who doesn’t suffer from psychophysical problems (such as the fear of heights) which would in any way endanger their health or the health of any other person. Physical restrictions are related particularly to minimum and maximum weight and height (minimum weight 30 kg, maximum weight 120 kg, minimum height 140 cm).
